Her mother’s daughter struggled for years.
Countless sleepless nights holding back the tears.
“Be strong,” “hold it in,” “keep it formal.”
She decided to live and pretend this is normal.
Through the pain, confusion and neglect,
Mother’s words were never strong enough to infect.
The actions didn’t match and left her empty.
She dreamed of her mother following through on the things that “could be.”
Her mother’s daughter grew to be a grown woman.
Her struggles caught up to her and she decided NOT to allow ruin.
Through family and friends and Christ alone,
She persevered and dissected the life she has known.
As her story continues, the healing begins.
Time has taught HER and let me tell YOU how God…wins.

Beautiful! The God who loves the perfectly imperfect and then dare to teach us how to overcome.
